They’re masquerading as if they’re affiliated with the Financial Conduct Authority, but really, it’s just a dodgy con!

This guy said his name was Mike Smith and claimed to be from some trading company. He told me he was going to send me 90,000 euros from a trading account I haven’t touched in like two years, which supposedly still had 250 euros. According to him, the company had been trading on my account, making profit. Then he asked to check my bank balance and said I needed to have at least 10% of that amount for the transfer to go through. That’s when I realised it was all a scam. Definitely some dodgy character, probably from Africa or Nigeria.

I got a call from someone acting like they worked with the FCA, but turns out it’s a scam. The FCA themselves have warned people about these fraudsters, so watch out!
