I've just added this dodgy number to my blocked list! It was yet another call from some Asian call centre. They were attempting to persuade me that they could sort out the supposed problems on my computer from afar. As a software developer, there was no chance they would pull the wool over my eyes. Essentially, their goal was to gain remote access to my system and try to infiltrate it.
