I got a ring from this number on my mobile on the 19th of September, 2022.

I had quite the experience with a dodgy "Microsoft" scammer who rang me from an 0049 (Germany) number. After I bluntly told her I wasn’t keen on wasting either of our time, she had the audacity to ring me back from 020-4520 6328 just to berate me for not wasting her time! Honestly, she was livid and nearly lost the plot-let's just say I had the phone at a safe distance from my ear during her little tantrum!

I chose not to pick up the call as I found the number a bit dodgy. We've received several strange calls over the past few days, and we're rather uncertain about their legitimacy.

I received a call, answered it, but was met with nothing but silence on the other end. So, I decided to hang up.

A fellow user mentioned that their caller had a distinctly Nigerian accent, which is rather intriguing, especially as I recently discovered that my Instagram was compromised and traced back to Nigeria. I chose not to answer the call, but I can’t help but feel there’s a connection there. Quite the coincidence, wouldn’t you say?

Claimed to be calling from Currys PC World, pitching some sort of promotion for the latest iPhone. He appeared rather taken aback when I expressed disinterest. Clearly, it felt like an attempt to fish for my personal details.

I recently had a rather unpleasant encounter with the individual at this number! They called me up, but spoke in a language I didn't understand, which led me to believe it was a misdial. The moment I mentioned this, they abruptly switched to English and insisted I was mistaken. The conversation quickly veered into a pitch about the latest iPhone Max. I made it clear that I did not give my permission for this call and requested that they remove my details from their list. When I probed about how they obtained my number, they instead shouted, “PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT I’M SAYING,” before diving back into their sales talk. I reiterated my lack of consent, but they just kept talking over me until it escalated into a full-blown shouting match, with them screaming at me from the other end. I've now blocked the number, but I’m certain they’ll just switch to another one shortly. Absolutely appalling!

I received a call from someone claiming to be inquiring about my Virgin broadband. Strangely, they had no idea who I was or what my account number was. They tried to persuade me to grant them remote access to my computer. The moment I mentioned that I wasn’t even a Virgin Media customer, they promptly ended the call.

I just had a call from someone claiming to be from "Microsoft" - they actually had my unique licence number! During my tea break, I informed them that I use Google Chrome and Linux, steering clear of all things Microsoft. Yet, my persistent, Asian-accented caller wouldn’t take the hint. I even told him straight that I was aware it was a scam and he’d be better off trying his luck with someone else, but to no avail; he just got louder. I had to hang up in the end, as I was in stitches and my teacup was dry. I’m quite relieved that I’m still sharp enough to spot these dodgy calls for what they are. It’s a shame we lack the proper tools to track down, block, and wipe out these nuisances altogether. I’d start to feel genuinely anxious if the callers suddenly had a Russian intonation!

They're quick to lure you in with an enticing phone deal, even conjuring up some absurd offer you might be tempted by. But then, they’ll start asking for your personal information. Whatever you do, don't fall for it! It’s definitely a scammer on the other end of the line.

I highly advise against answering calls from this number; they’re up to no good. They’ll wheedle their way into your personal details, starting with your email address and full name, before prying into your date of birth and even your banking information! It’s a total scam. Don’t fall for their tricks; safeguard your info and steer clear of sharing anything with these dodgy callers.

They claimed to represent a curry company and suggested I could pop into any of their shops for confirmation. However, they wouldn’t provide their office address, which raised my suspicions. I've already alerted O2 about this, and I recommend you do the same if you've received similar calls. Not entirely certain if other service providers are handling this in the same way. You can report such calls by texting 7726 - it's meant for spam or suspicious activity.

I had a rather peculiar call at around half past seven this evening. The chap on the line claimed to be from Carphone Warehouse, pitching some dazzling deal on the newest iPhone or Samsung. I requested he repeat his remarkable offer, but he misinterpreted my inquiry as sarcasm and launched into a tirade, making some rather nasty threats towards my family. I swiftly terminated the call. His accent had a distinctly Nigerian lilt to it.
