I got a ring from this number on my mobile on the 19th of September, 2022.

So this person claiming to be from "Microsoft" first rang me from some dodgy German number starting with 0049. I told them straight up I wasn’t gonna waste my time on them. Then, out of nowhere, they called back from 020-4520 6328 and started moaning about how I wasn’t wasting their time! Got proper mad, almost lost it, while I was just holding the phone away from my ear to avoid their nonsense.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with Currys PC World, trying to push a deal on the newest iPhone. They acted a bit shocked when I told them I wasn't interested. Feels like just another trick to grab your personal info.

My phone showed it as a possible scam, so I just let it ring out.

This number called me up and started speaking some language I didn’t understand, so I guessed they’d dialled the wrong number. Right when I told them that, they switched to English and snapped that I was wrong. Then straight away they launched into some sales pitch about the iPhone Max. I told them I didn’t agree to the call and to take me off their list. I even asked where they got my number, but instead they replied by yelling ‘LISTEN TO WHAT I AM SAYING’ and carried on with their spiel. I kept telling them I wasn’t consenting but he just talked over me constantly and we ended up having a proper shouting match. In the end he was yelling down the phone at me. I’ve blocked the number now, but I’m sure they’ll just use a new one in a few days. It’s just not on.

Got a call from someone claiming to be "Microsoft" - they even had my supposed licence number! Took me during my tea break so I told them I run Linux and only use Chrome, no Microsoft stuff at all. Didn't faze the guy with the Asian accent, though. I even said straight up I knew it was a scam and they should find someone else, but he just kept going and then started yelling. Had to hang up because I was laughing too hard and my cuppa was gone. Glad I’m sharp enough to spot these scams still. Shame we don’t have the tech or skills to stop these nuisances completely. Guess I’ll be more on edge if next time they start talking with a Russian accent!

Got a call from someone claiming to be with EE who wanted to know what my phone contract costs. I told them I’m already an EE customer and asked why they’d need to ask if they’ve got my number. They mumbled something about GDPR then just ended the call. Bit weird really.

Dont ever pick up calls from these guys, total scam. They try to sell you a phone deal which sounds amazing, like the best you’ll find anywhere. But then bit by bit, they ask for personal stuff - starting off with your email, then your full name, date of birth, and eventually they’ll want your bank info. Its a trick to get all your private details. Never trust or share this info with callers you dont know!

Somebody called sayin they worked for curry and said I could check by visiting any curry shop. Wouldn’t say where their office was though. I reported it to O2. I’d advise you to do the same. Dunno if other networks handle this kinda stuff. The number was 7726 - prob scam or spam texts.

Just got a call around half past seven in the evening, some guy claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse trying to sell me a brilliant deal on the newest iPhone or Samsung. I asked him to say the offer again because I couldn't believe it, but he took it the wrong way and started getting really rude, even making threats about my family! I ended the call right away. Sounded like he had a Nigerian accent, if I’m honest.
