He said he wasn’t scamming and that he worked in security. I said I’ll get in touch with my bank, then he just cut the call. He also said he’d send me an email, but I never got anything.

Got a call from this number, some bloke who said he was "Alan" claiming to be from Amazon. He started with "How are you?" I replied, "What’s this about?" He said there was an order on my Amazon account that they’d put a hold on because they didn’t think it was me. I asked how much it was for, and he said "£680 for a mobile phone." I was actually logged into my Amazon account then, checking my orders, so I just told him "Sounds like a scam to me" and ended the call.

Rang my elderly mum and dad earlier, person on the line said something about Amazon Prime and claimed there was a £960 purchase I hadn’t authorised. When I asked who was calling, there was silence. A man rang claiming to be from Amazon’s security team but got my name wrong straight away and said he was there to assist me. He was trying to convince me to cancel an iPhone order supposedly placed by someone else, directing me to a site called “www.anybesk.com”. He said if I filled in the form with all my personal and bank info, they could refund me straight away. I told him there was no way he was really from Amazon and called him out as a fraud. Then I told him to “take a hike” and ended the call!
