Just had yet another dodgy call claiming to be from Amazon, saying someone had just splurged £720 on a purchase. I couldn’t help but chuckle and said he was dreaming! When I pressed him on why he was trying to pull a fast one, he insisted he was with security. I told him I’d be ringing my bank about this, and he promptly hung up on me. Funny enough, there were no emails as he claimed. What a comical situation!

Got a call from this number, some bloke who said he was "Alan" claiming to be from Amazon. He started with "How are you?" I replied, "What’s this about?" He said there was an order on my Amazon account that they’d put a hold on because they didn’t think it was me. I asked how much it was for, and he said "£680 for a mobile phone." I was actually logged into my Amazon account then, checking my orders, so I just told him "Sounds like a scam to me" and ended the call.

I received a call from someone claiming to represent Amazon's security team, and it quickly took a strange turn. He proceeded to assert he knew my identity and insisted he was there to assist me. Apparently, this was all linked to an iPhone order placed through a dubious site called "www.anybesk.com." He asked me to provide my personal and banking information on that website, assuring me they would facilitate a refund directly into my account. However, I wasn't convinced he was truly from Amazon; in fact, I suspected he was trying to pull a fast one. I firmly told him where to go and promptly ended the call!
