Got a call saying I'd been in a small accident not long ago. When I asked for my info or the other person's details, the bloke just cut me off. You could hear his call centre in the background loud and clear. Honestly, don’t share any personal stuff with them, like your name or phone number, or anythin for that matter.

0204 520 4557 called me, bloke had a really thick South Asian accent, nothing like what we get here in the UK, sounded like he was outside the country. Didn’t bother with my name. He said he was from some company, but I couldn’t catch the name because his accent was so strong. Then he asked how I was doing, typical script. I just ended the call.

They claimed to give me a new offer with 30% off my mobile contract. When I asked which network they were with, the woman got annoyed but did say the right name. I told them it was spam, which made the angry Indian guy on the phone even more irate. I then said I'd report them to my network provider since my contract states no marketing calls allowed. It really feels like stolen info or some serious scam. Also, it’s the same Indian call centre ringing from various numbers.

Watch out, folks! I got a call from a woman with a strong Asian accent claiming she’d sort me a 30% discount on my monthly bill - just needed a code that o2 supposedly sends me. They wouldn't say what company they were from, but were asking for my mobile contract info to apparently 'help save cash on phones like the iPhone'. I told them I just bought the latest Samsung with no contract, and they actually said I'm wasting their time, haha! Ended up blocking them.

I usually just let unknown numbers go to ring out, coz if it was important they’d probably leave a message. Then I check this site to see what others say about the caller. After that the number gets blocked. I’m also watching out for our elderly neighbour; any dodgy numbers I add to her phone’s block list too. I try to tell friends and fam about them as well. I received a rather dubious call from some chancer asserting I was involved in a car crash many moons ago and that he could assist me in securing an insurance payout. I picked up the call, but they cut off straight away. When I tried to return the call, someone on the other end claimed to be from KM Communications, yet my phone marked it as a suspicious number. It's odd for someone with a British number to ring me here in Northern Ireland - I’ve never even heard of KM Communications before!

I reckon this is likely a dodgy callback scam. The moment you pick up the phone, it disconnects straight away. Then they request your personal information to supposedly verify who might have been calling you-utter nonsense!
