I got a call from a guy with an Indian accent, and when I asked who was calling, he said something like "currys mobile who?" Then he added, "currys mobile, like carphone warehouse." I told him straight away this was a scam and asked him to hang up. He insisted it wasn’t a scam, but I just kept saying it was and ended up hanging up on him. I've blocked the number now.

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent claiming to be from Currys, offering a deal on the iPhone 13. When I asked if this was legit, he got really rude and started acting aggressive. I told him I never give my number out to any companies and don’t take unsolicited calls. I pointed out he was probably breaking the law and said he should just hang up, which finally he did. I reckon it was one of those overseas calls being routed through London.

Someone called me saying they were from Virgin Mobile, offering to upgrade my plan with 40% off and unlimited calls, texts, and data. But then they asked for all my card details to “verify” me. I told them I'd look up the number to see if it was a scam, and they replied in broken English, insisting “We not scam, def not scam.” I went ahead and called Virgin myself, and they didn’t have any deals like that. So I switched to another provider instead. Thanks but no thanks, scammy caller. I’m getting a better offer now without giving my info away. Don't fall for it!
