Today around 1:29 pm, someone rang me but quickly cut off when I answered with a simple hello. I checked the number here and decided to block it permanently.

Got a call from a number I didn't recognise, no voicemail or anything, so I just blocked it.

As soon as I picked up the phone, the caller just ended the call right away.

Someone rang me saying they were from O2, but as soon as I told them I was fine with my current deal, they just ended the call. Quite odd really.

Got a call supposedly from O2, but the number was unfamiliar and they sounded really dodgy, so I ended the call. Afterwards, I looked it up and now I’m blocking the number.

someone rang me claiming to be from the royal bank of scotland’s fraud dept and asked if i was free to chat. after i said yes, saying it was a good time, the caller just hung up and then rang straight back. i didn’t pick up the second call though.
