4 yearsI was about to pick up but then saw it was flagged as a nuisance number. That was enough for me right there, didn’t bother answering.4 yearsHonestly, I struggled to make sense of most of what they were saying, but they kept going on about me being selected for some phone upgrade. When I asked where they got my number from, they said it must be from a mobile provider. I told them I never agreed to share my number, then they just cut the call. At first, I thought it might've been a voicemail or some automated message since it sounded really mechanical - maybe it wasn't even a real person, could've been some AI.4 yearsI got a text from this number urging me to reach out urgently because they’ve spotted some suspicious activity on my PayPal account.PayPal4 yearsThey ended the call as soon as I picked up.4 yearsSome chap claiming to be Kevin rang me up, saying he was with PC World. Honestly, it felt like he was in some massive, echoey storage facility-it was quite the racket! There was a right din in the background, and I could hear several voices chattering away. He went over the purpose of his call not once, but twice, yet his accent was so thick it made it rather difficult to catch what he was on about. I eventually just told him to remove me from their list and promptly blocked the number. Quite the nuisance, really!KevinPC World4 yearsGot loads of calls from some national accident helpline, really fed up with it. I told them I’ve never been in any kind of accident and asked how they even got my number. Then I asked for them to take me off their list. The lady on the other end, sounded Indian or Asian, just told me to shut up and then hung up on me! Proper cheeky behaviour.4 yearsI didn’t catch the name of the company, but the lady had an Indian accent and was telling me she could sort out a brand new iPhone for me. Then she asked what phone I’m currently using. I told her I don’t have a mobile phone (this was on my mobile number, mind you). She muttered something I couldn’t make out and then just dropped the call.4 yearsSo, my other half kept getting messages with my name saying I should get in touch because supposedly there was some strange activity on my PayPal. I phoned the number and got this robotic message about updates and changing my URL. It felt really fishy. Don’t bother texting or calling it again. PayPal told me it’s definitely a scam xPayPal4 yearsThey disconnected as soon as I picked up the phone.Submit Your Own Report (020 4520 3740)
