I received a call from someone claiming to be affiliated with a Credit Investigation Department. They said they could assist me in settling what they referred to as my debt, despite the fact that I don't owe anything at all. It's undeniably a scam, no question about it!

I received a call from someone claiming to be with a credit investigation firm, asking for a person I’m completely unfamiliar with. When I informed him that I had no idea who he was talking about, he then wanted my name. I told him I wasn’t going to share any details, seeing as it was him calling me, and wondered aloud who on earth he was. He abruptly ended the conversation by hanging up on me.

Not quite sure what their game is by ringing me, so I just ignore them. I tend to pick up only for numbers I recognise. It’s a right bother, to be honest - must be a pastime for them! Just fed up with the whole thing, signed, Miss Over It.

Claims to be representing a housing association, supposedly assisting with home-related matters. As a homeowner, I can confidently say this is a complete scam.
