4 yearsThis number called me twice in under an hour, definitely a scam. Avoid it!4 yearsSomebody phoned saying they were from O2 and asked me for my security code, like they had it already or had triggered it somehow.4 yearsAbsolutely a SCAM. I got a call from a guy with an obvious Indian accent pretending to be from Virgin Media sales team. They started asking about the phone I use and then tried to push an upgrade on me. When I asked them repeatedly to identify themselves properly, they just hung up. If you google "Refund Scam" you’ll see this is a common trick. Stay clear!Virgin Media5 yearsI just let it ring out, didn’t bother to pick up.5 yearsSome bloke was ringing me from his mobile trying to sell a car, definitely not a proper professional or nothing. These dodgy calls keep coming through constantly, it's getting well annoying.5 yearsI first got a call from this number with some bloke trying to push a product on me, but I told him I wasn’t interested at all. Then, a few days later, they started ringing again but there was no one talking, just silence before the call ended. Pretty strange if you ask me.5 yearsI've been receiving calls from a number I don’t recognise, and they keep ringing without uttering a word or leaving a voicemail. I attempted to return the call, but it sounded like some sort of automated system peddling goods. Quite frustrating, really!5 yearsI picked up and immediately ended the call.5 yearsSome bloke from abroad told me to keep my voice down and just cut off the call when I tried to get him to say who he was.5 yearsThis number's totally unkown to me.5 yearsPicked up the phone, then I just ended the call straight away.5 yearsGot a call from a number I didn't recognise, so I just didn’t pick up.5 yearsThey called me but just dropped the line before I could answer. Got no clue who it might have been.5 yearsI picked up and they just stopped responding out of nowhere! What’s up with that!?5 yearsTried selling me something, but it was all just jibberish to me.5 yearsI usually don’t answer calls from numbers I don’t know, so I have no clue who tried ringing me.5 yearsTheres this group that use loads of different numbers when they call you. Here’s some of the ones I got: 02045202210, 01615500254, 01137350263, 01218110265, 01137350256, 01919490261, 01174780265, 01218110260, 01313820259, 01313820257, 02031293551, 02475400256, 02031294096, 02031293412, 02031293850, 02031293734, 02031293850, 02031293965, 02031293453, 02031293877. Whenever I tried calling back, I got a robotic message that said something like “Thanks for calling Quick Loan. All our advisors are busy now. If you want to opt out of marketing calls or have queries please email info at Lenderfinder.” When they ring you, if you ask who is calling, they say it’s “Debt Recovery Bureau”. They’ll happily spend ages on the phone going through your debts, fines, CCJs, whatever you have. I actually had a bit of a laugh with it and kept one guy on the line for close to an hour, telling him tiny debts across loads of fines and bills, just to waste his time. Apparently they only work with debts over £5000, but I gave him all sorts of little amounts just for fun. Although the numbers look UK-based, I’m sure they’re calling from somewhere else - the fake English accents were a big giveaway. Definitely dodgy so be careful!LenderfinderDebt Recovery BureauSubmit Your Own Report (020 4520 2210)
