4 yearsWhat a nuisance! I've just received my second call in under an hour, and it's clearly a scam.4 yearsSomebody phoned saying they were from O2 and asked me for my security code, like they had it already or had triggered it somehow.4 yearsAbsolutely a SCAM. I got a call from a guy with an obvious Indian accent pretending to be from Virgin Media sales team. They started asking about the phone I use and then tried to push an upgrade on me. When I asked them repeatedly to identify themselves properly, they just hung up. If you google "Refund Scam" you’ll see this is a common trick. Stay clear!Virgin Media4 yearsI chose not to pick up when that call came in.5 yearsSome bloke was ringing me from his mobile trying to sell a car, definitely not a proper professional or nothing. These dodgy calls keep coming through constantly, it's getting well annoying.5 yearsI first got a call from this number with some bloke trying to push a product on me, but I told him I wasn’t interested at all. Then, a few days later, they started ringing again but there was no one talking, just silence before the call ended. Pretty strange if you ask me.5 yearsI've been receiving calls from a number I don’t recognise, and they keep ringing without uttering a word or leaving a voicemail. I attempted to return the call, but it sounded like some sort of automated system peddling goods. Quite frustrating, really!5 yearsI picked up and immediately ended the call.5 yearsSome bloke from abroad told me to keep my voice down and just cut off the call when I tried to get him to say who he was.5 yearsI’ve not a clue who this number belongs to.5 yearsFraudulent activity.5 yearsPicked up the phone, then I just ended the call straight away.5 yearsGot a call from a number I didn't recognise, so I just didn’t pick up.5 yearsThey called me but just dropped the line before I could answer. Got no clue who it might have been.5 yearsI picked up and they just stopped responding out of nowhere! What’s up with that!?5 yearsI’m trying to sell an item, but I'm a bit puzzled by how to go about it.5 yearsI don't bother answering calls from numbers I don't recognise, so I'm completely clueless about who might have been on the other end.5 yearsIt seems there’s a collection of numbers being frequently dialled: (1) 02045202210 (2) 01615500254 (3) 01137350263 (4) 01218110265 (5) 01137350256 (6) 01919490261 (7) 01174780265 (8) 01218110260 (9) 01313820259 (10) 01313820257 (11) 02031293551 (12) 02475400256 (13) 02031294096 (14) 02031293412 (15) 02031293850 (16) 02031293734 (17) 02031293850 (18) 02031293965 (19) 02031293453 (20) 02031293877 Whenever you ring any of these digits, a rather robotic voice greets you with, “Thanks for dialling Quick Loan. All of our agents are currently occupied. If you have inquiries or wish to opt-out of further marketing communications, please drop us a line at info at Lenderfinder...” When these numbers decide to reach out to you, if you’re curious enough to ask who’s on the other end, they’ll identify themselves as the "Debt Recovery Bureau". They’ll gladly engage you for anywhere between 20 minutes to an hour, meticulously revisiting your entire list of outstanding debts or fines, including those pesky CCJs. I must admit, it was quite entertaining. They seem to have a bizarre threshold of £5000 minimum. I toyed with the chap on the line, feigning an absurdly low tally of debts, spreading across thirty odd fines, loans, and utility bills-I did it purely for the giggles. Just a friendly reminder: although these calls are coming from numbers that appear to be UK-based, one can’t ignore the true origins and locations they hail from. The faux British accents don’t quite lend credibility to their situation either!LenderfinderDebt Recovery BureauSubmit Your Own Report (020 4520 2210)
