4 yearsToday, I received a phone call from a chap with a distinct Indian accent. He began bombarding me with questions regarding my finances and went on to propose some kind of debt relief solution. It was glaringly obvious that this was a scam; he couldn't even give me the name of the company he represented! Talk about a massive warning sign!4 yearsI received a call from an Indian individual regarding some sort of debt relief. It was quite amusing, really; I could distinctly hear my own voice echoing back to me on loudspeaker. To add to the oddity, someone was clearly whispering in the background, feeding the caller his script. When he started throwing around legal jargon and then suddenly got put on hold while mid-sentence, it was just the cherry on top. It was unmistakably a scam call, no doubt about it!5 yearsI was left hanging for quite a while before anyone picked up, so in the end, I decided to just hang up and leave the phone idle.5 yearsReceived a call today, 3rd December 2021. After a brief pause of about five seconds, a woman with an accent requested to speak to me by name. Sensing something off and suspecting it might be a scam, I chose to end the call. I truly have my doubts that this call was even placed from within the UK.UK5 yearsReceived a call earlier today, and it seemed rather dodgy. The bloke on the other end was solely after the homeowner, which immediately raised my suspicions. Sounded like one of those scam calls masquerading as a survey about the house. Definitely had an accent, probably from India. Be wary, folks!India5 yearsA caller inquired whether I could verify my address and if I still had that fibreglass stuff in my attic. Then, abruptly ended the conversation and hung up. I must say, considering the background chatter and the caller's language abilities, it’s hard to believe this was a local UK call!UKSubmit Your Own Report (020 4520 1918)
