On 24th July 2021 at about 12:51 pm, I got a call from 02045201783 but no voicemail was left. I checked the number using 1471. We're on the TPS list, so I reckon it’s probably a scam.

My mum and dad just got a dodgy call that Talk Shield blocked, think it was from Coverteam Direct or some other tricky name they use. They were trying to flog electrical repair services to our elderly parents. These scammers are supposed to be banned by the FCA, yet they keep pestering people. It’s so annoying!

Yet another call regarding washing machine warranties. I firmly informed the caller that I was thoroughly fed up with such incessant interruptions and requested they consult their supervisor to ensure my number is removed from their list. If these calls persist, I will have no choice but to escalate the matter to the relevant authority. I reiterated my stance twice, but all I received in response was, "We're just trying to inform you..." It became evident they weren't truly listening and were merely following their pre-scripted lines. They introduced themselves as SERVICE HOME.

Got a call about a washing machine warranty again, and I told the person on the other end that I’m fed up with these calls. I asked to speak with a supervisor and demanded they remove my number from their list. I warned that if I kept getting calls, I’d report them to the authorities. Did this a couple of times, but the caller just kept saying, "we’re simply informing you." I ended up hanging up because they clearly weren’t listening and just reading off a script. They said they were from SERVICE HOME or something like that.

Yet another tiresome call about a washing machine warranty! i kept getting calls asking for some bloke called mr torley, then some crack about a dishwasher needing a warranty. i told them i'd replaced the dishwasher with just a dish cloth and that’s covered by my own guarantee. as for mr torley, i told them i’d been chatting to him while walking the dog. he even gave me his number, but when i said i’d fetch it from the stand, it wasn’t there. went to the shops and obviously, he wasn’t around when i got back.

i got a call about insuring my kitchen appliances, said it would be £595 for three years. they wanted my credit card info right away, no way was i giving it to them. the woman on the phone seemed nice enough, maybe she honestly doesn't know the insurance is a total scam!

Today, this number called me about some sort of warranty on home appliances. The bloke was saying it needed renewing. I told him I’ve got loads of stuff at home and I always get letters about these things, then asked him who exactly he was working for. I repeated myself a few times, but he just hung up. Creepy how much he seemed to know about me. I’ve had calls off this number on and off for ages now. Seriously, someone should track them down and put a stop to it, or maybe even get Dr Who to deal with them!

some bloke rang me saying he was from domestic appliances and that i’d had a policy with them since 2018 that needed renewing. when i questioned him, he said i owned a bunch of appliances with them - some i actually have, others i don’t, and some that i have but aren’t included in any policy with them. in the end, i just hung up. the insurance i actually pay for is with a different company and it covers all my stuff in one go.

Got a call from some warranty place for home appliances, saying they got my info from an appliance warranty firm and that my coverage was about to run out. Thing is, I never bought or registered any appliances at this address, so I knew it was a load of rubbish. When I told the bloke he must’ve got my details dodgily since my number's ex-directory and I’m meant to be off marketing lists, he got quite rude. I told him I’d report his company and ended the call there and then.

somebody called me saying they were from homecare and that my kitchen appliances insurance was due for renewal. the weird thing is, i don't have any insurance like that at all. when i asked them for their address or to prove they were really from homecare, they just dropped the call. i get loads of calls like this, and honestly, it’s about time someone got prosecuted, maybe under the harassment laws or something.
