I was offered a complimentary driveway, but I courteously turned it down. They didn’t seem to take no for an answer and kept on pushing. Despite my clear refusals, they just kept chattering away, completely ignoring my requests. After asking them a couple of times to let me speak, I lost my temper and resorted to yelling before hanging up. Their behaviour was downright rude, incessantly pestering me, and honestly, quite dreadful. I can only imagine how an elderly individual alone might feel in such a distressing situation.

Could very well be a scam stemming from some sort of AI!

What a complete numpty! I could hardly make sense of what they were on about - just kept going "um um um" like a broken record, before mumbling something about drives. How baffling!

I’ve just had a rather peculiar phone call from this outfit. At first, all I could hear was a sort of heavy breathing on the line. Then, a chap named John kept on inquiring about whether my property had a driveway. To be honest, I wasn’t in the mood to discuss my home with a total stranger. He insisted he was from some driveway company and pressed me on the driveway question repeatedly. I've got zero patience for these types of scams, and I refused to give away any information. I asked him to clarify what he was after and requested he stop repeating his name, the company’s name, or anything to do with the driveway. Eventually, I just hung up. I can wholeheartedly echo the sentiments of others who’ve commented on this - the caller was quite unpleasant and overbearing, yet I wasn’t about to take any of his nonsense. The whole interaction lasted only a minute before I ended it. PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR THESE CALLS! Steer clear of them, as you certainly don’t want to get tangled up in financial dubiousness or scams from these sorts!

I didn’t recognise the digits when they popped up, but I noticed it had an 020 London area code. I chose not to pick up since I have no dealings whatsoever in London. Most likely just a bunch of scammers trying their luck.

Nice job there! 😄 Some folks resort to a piercing, shrill whistle into the phone to put those numpties in their place!

I received a call from 02045200515, with the individual claiming to be a medical expert, attempting to entice me into a so-called 'complimentary' alert pendant for falls. His tone was quite forceful, and when I expressed my disinterest, he began to probe me in a rather belittling way about my reasons for declining. I reiterated my lack of interest and promptly ended the call. These deceitful scammers really do get on my nerves!

I received a call purportedly from "John" who was going on about some sort of driveway surfacing. To be honest, it felt as though I was listening to a pre-recorded message, as he just rambled on despite my attempts to interrupt with questions. It’s clearly a scam! To make matters worse, we don’t even possess a driveway in the first place!

They just wouldn’t stop rambling on about driveways! I ended up losing interest and ended the call.

Someone rang me up claiming he’d been browsing online for houses with driveways and that mine had popped up in his search. To be honest, I didn’t quite catch where he said he hailed from, as he launched into his spiel and completely talked over me. When he paid me no mind, I cheekily asked if I was chatting to a human being or a bot, but he carried on regardless, seemingly reciting from a script. He even mentioned that someone would be in touch to provide a quote, at which point I had to raise my voice to tell him to halt. Just a heads-up about this company-definitely gave me the heebie-jeebies!

There was a tremendous racket in the background, and then the chap began rambling on about drives and pavements. The conversation was punctuated by frequent breaks. When I finally inquired about his identity after one of the silences, he responded, “I completely understand your choice, and enjoy your day.” It struck me as a classic scam call, and he likely realised he was just spinning his wheels with whoever he was attempting to contact. I would highly advise steering clear of anyone using this number!

I’ve received a call from a London number, but I don’t have a soul in that part of the world. I suspect it could be a dodgy scam or possibly one of those annoying marketing calls!

I received a call from someone claiming to be “John from the driveway company,” who inquired if there was still a driveway at my residence. Naturally, I probed further asking, “Could you tell me the name of your business?” There was an awkward silence before I followed up with, “Are you not familiar with your own company’s name?” He replied, “I completely understand your caution” and promptly ended the call. Interestingly, I found a website linked to ‘The Driveway Company’, but it carries a cautionary message marked as ‘HIGH RISK’.

I received a call from someone claiming to be a healthcare worker who informed me that I qualified for a complimentary medical pendant. I politely declined and then ended the call. There was something about his voice that felt rather robotic, almost as if it had been altered in some way.

Received a call from a firm claiming to be “The Driveway Company,” stating they were aware I was after a new driveway. I quickly realised they must have dialled the wrong number, so I hung up before they could launch into their sales spiel. I've since blocked the number to avoid any further bother.

Got a call from what sounded like a driveway firm, using a local number. When I finally got to say something, the person just kept interrupting me, so I ended the call. The voice and sales pitch were the exact same as before.

I didn't get chance to answer before the call cut off, and since they left no voicemail, plus so many others have flagged this caller, I'm pretty sure it's just some spam or scam trying to sell something.

Just got a call from 02045200515. The bloke claimed to be some kind of health advisor nearby and started asking if I suffer from diabetes or heart problems. I quickly said no, then he asked if I’d ever had any issues like that before. I couldn’t help but ask if he was trying to push some insurance claim or something. He said he was with Medical Alert offering these alert bracelets. Honestly, I just laughed and told him it wasn’t my thing. Feels like they’ve got a whole list of elderly folks to bother, haha!

I just got a ring from 02045200515, but at first no one said anything until there was a loud beep. Then a guy called himself Sam, claiming to be a local health consultant from my area. When I asked why he was calling, he asked me to say it again. After I repeated my question, he started talking about thousands of people with health problems and mentioned a free medical alert bracelet I could get. I told him I already own an emergency lifeline device, so he said sorry for wasting my time and hung up.

Got a call from someone called Sam, said he was with Local Health Advice or something like that. He asked if I’d had any big health problems or if I’d fallen recently. Then he said I could get a free medical pendant. Told him to take me off their list and not bother me again.

Got a strange call about 15 minutes back. They kept asking if we liked our driveway, with weird gaps in their speech. They said something about it being a "prestigious driveway" and wanted to know how old it was. I asked where they got my number from and reminded them we’re registered with the TPS, so this was a cold call. Told them to remove us from their list immediately. Feels like a dodgy cold call ignoring the TPS guidelines.

Got a call from some driveway firm trying to sell me a free makeover. I said no nicely, but they kept going on. I said no again, still they wouldn’t back off. I told them I was being polite but they just talked over me the whole time. Asked them to stop interrupting, no luck. Tried once more, still the same. Got fed up and ended up yelling at them before hanging up. Proper rude and very annoying.

At first, it was really quiet, just some background noise you could hear faintly. Then they spoke, but didn’t give their name or anything, just asked about whether I had a driveway at the house. I questioned what the call was about, but they just kept going on about the driveway. I told them the place was rented out and, weirdly, they sounded quite courteous and ended the call right after.

They just cut off as soon as you pick up.
