Got a call from this number earlier today, put my phone on silent and then declined it. I'm gonna hold off and see if they try again. I just don’t pick up if I don’t know the number.

Got a call from some random number on a Sunday, which really rubbed me the wrong way since I observe the sabbath as a Christian. For me, that's a definite no-go. I’m thinking about reporting it as a religiously motivated offence to the police.

This number somehow had my name and phone number, but the email, address, and postcode they listed were all wrong! They kept calling me nonstop. When I finally picked up, they insisted I’d completed some online form, which I definitely hadn’t, so I hung up. Then I called back and the dialling tone felt a bit dodgy, so I ended the call. They rang me again, and I spent ages arguing with them - about eight minutes - trying to explain their details were wrong and that I wasn’t interested and wanted my info removed. They completely ignored me. In the end, I had to tell them I’d be reporting them.

So I got a call from some call centre, but definitely not from the UK. The bloke's English was so poor I couldn't make out anything he was saying. Ended up just putting the phone down.
