Got a call from someone claiming to be O2, but it was definitely a scam.

Got a call from someone pretending to be 02, trying to trick me into giving over my security code. The messages even say don’t share it with anyone, not even people from 02. I like messing about with these kinds of calls, so I kept it going for a bit, having a laugh at their attempt. I told him if he was really from 02, he’d know who I am and who they’re speaking to. Then I asked him what my name was, and he said Sophie! That was funny. I told him my name’s nothing like that, he chuckled and just hung up. Definitely a scam, so watch out.

I’ve been getting calls from individuals pretending to be O2 representatives, claiming they can slash my phone bill by 40%. It's clearly a scam!

Received two calls from this number. The caller refused to disclose their name. The conversation was a bit of a muddle, and I couldn’t fathom who they were trying to reach.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from 02, trying to get me to hand over my security code. The text messages even warned not to share the code with anyone, not even O2 staff. I decided to mess with them a bit and kept it going for a while, having a laugh down the phone. I told the caller that if they were really from O2, they’d know who I was and who I was speaking to. I asked them to tell me my name, and they said Sophie, which was obviously wrong. When I said that’s not my name, they just chuckled and then ended the call. Best just to steer clear of these dodgy calls.

Got a call saying it was from O2 with some 40% off deal. Thing is, I’m already on their 50% family discount plan, so any real O2 rep would be aware of that. Pretty sure it was just a scam.

Somebody rang saying they were from O2, offering a discount for “loyal customers” or whatever but I don’t even have O2, so that was a dead giveaway right there.

Got a call saying it was 02 with a 40% off deal. Thing is, I’m already on a 50% family discount plan they provide, so if it was for real 02, they’d be aware of that by now. Total scam in my book.

Somebody rang saying they were from 02, but when I told them to stop calling me, they started using all sorts of rude, sexual language. Proper scammer.

Picked up the phone for my grandad and it was one of those O2 scam calls!

I received a dubious call from someone who assured me they could slash my phone bill by a hefty 40% if I just verified my details. They sent me two messages and then had the audacity to request that I recite my security code over the phone. At that moment, I realised it was all a con and promptly hung up, making sure to block the number without a second thought.

Got a call from someone saying they were with O2 offering a 40% discount. I’m actually with a different mobile provider, and where I work, we always have to send a text alert about any upcoming calls first and do proper checks. I’m not with O2 anymore, but my number still shows up as O2, so this whole thing felt off and pretty clearly a scam.

I got a call from someone saying they wanted to discuss my bill, but when I asked where they were calling from, they couldn’t say anything clear and just kept going through some script. I told them I wasn’t interested and hung up.

People who make these calls should honestly be tracked down and dealt with properly, especially since they often target the elderly. It's really unfair how they take advantage of older folks.

Got a call claiming I’d get 40% off my phone bill for six months, but first they wanted me to send two texts to verify my info. If it really was my network, they’d already have all my details anyway. Total scam!
