Somebody called claiming they were from a travel agency.

I got a call from this number claiming they were from some travel company called Travel Trolley. They asked me for £50 upfront, but ended up charging me £966.71 without my consent. When I questioned them, they changed their story and said they were actually Travel Hub based in Wembley. The bloke on the phone called himself Mickey Francisco. There was never any flight booked, just a complete scam. Stay away from these lot!!

I received a call from a woman using this number claiming to represent Curry's PC World. She was trying to sell me an iPhone 13 with a whopping 40% off! I couldn’t help but tell her that at this rate, the only iPhone she’ll be owning is the one she might afford at 60 if she carries on with these dodgy schemes.

I found out this firm is connected to Clickwork7, which is some marketing biz. Their website seems really slick and well-made, but honestly they're rubbish when it comes to selling personal data. If you wanna get back at them, just flood their site with tons of requests! It’s the least we can do.

Received a call from this number earlier. I chose not to pick up but decided to ring back to find out who it was. An answering machine greeted me, claiming to be from ‘Slick Mobiles’ and referenced their website, www.slickmobiles.co.uk. Upon investigation, it turns out to be a site dedicated to mobile reviews. The message on the machine had that professional tone, warning about recording for training and telling you to end the call if you weren't keen on being recorded. All very fishy, if you ask me. They also mentioned they were following up on a recent mobile phone application, which I definitely have no recollection of applying for. Sounds like a right scam to me!

Apparently, they mentioned you requested a call about some form you supposedly completed. Sounds like a sales pitch through and through. I wouldn’t share any info with them, honestly. They get pretty pushy and rude if you don’t spill the beans. To me, they come off like one of those typical cold callers with zero manners. If you don’t give them what they want, they just hang up on you! Definitely steer clear of these lot! :(

I’ve been informed that you requested a phone call concerning a form you recently submitted. From what I've gathered, it appears to be a sales tactic. Personally, I wouldn't be inclined to share any information, as the individuals I encountered were rather discourteous. It’s quite evident to me that they’re typical cold callers-lacking in decorum and quick to terminate the conversation if they don’t get the information they seek! Best to steer clear of them entirely! 😕

Got a call around 8 in the evening on a Saturday. The bloke asks if he’s speaking to so-and-so, I tell him no. Then he wants me to put her on, but I refuse and ask nicely if he could take my number off their list. Next thing, he’s calling me rude! I just told him I’m not up for scam calls late on a Saturday night. Quite cheeky if you ask me.

I usually hang up if they don’t let me talk first. If they’re calling from abroad, that’s an automatic cut-off too. Same goes if they start rambling nonsense. Basically, if I don’t have their number saved, I don’t bother answering.
