I received a dodgy phone call from someone purporting to be from O2, claiming they'd give me a whopping 50% off my current tariff. It was all a ruse to fish for my personal and banking information. The cheek of it! Funny thing is, I’ve never been a customer of O2 in my entire life.

Got a call supposedly from 02 saying they’d knock 40% off my bill. I just ended the call straight away since I’ve had loads of these kinds of calls before.

I got a call from a man with an Indian accent claiming he was ringing from O2 and could slash 40% off my phone bill. When I questioned him, he suddenly turned rude and started swearing at me.

I get people moaning about scam calls, but seriously, why dont folks actually take action? There’s info in a post right below that shows how you can make a difference. It only takes half an hour or so and your MP’s reply can be quite eye-opening. Just make sure you clearly outline what’s going on and ask the right stuff about these dodgy fake UK landline numbers criminals use.

Supposedly it's from 02, but I'd say that's not true at all.

Got a call off a woman claiming to be from HMRC, saying they were about to take legal action over unpaid taxes. Thing is, I’ve always kept my tax returns up to date, no issues at all. She knew my address, which isn’t hard to find obviously, but then she asked me for my NI number - I told her no way. When I tried to find out which tax years she was talking about, she couldn’t give me any solid info. I told her my online tax account showed nothing outstanding, and suddenly she just hung up. Total scam, don’t fall for it or hand over any personal info!

They offer a 2 week free trial and toss in 10,000 USD for trading use, but then they hit you with a 250 USD fee if you want to keep going. Pay 250 bucks just for membership? Absolutely not, no chance.
