I barely caught any sound during the call, just a din in the background, which likely indicates it’s from a call centre.

Nowadays, I just don't say anything when I pick up the phone. If it's a real person, they'll keep saying hello until I respond. But if it's a robot, it only stays on the line if it gets a voice, otherwise it just disconnects. This number rang me once and cut off pretty quick - I reckon it was an automated call.

The phone rang and cut off just before anyone spoke - that set alarm bells ringing straight away. When a voice finally came on, they claimed to be from some company, but honestly, I couldn’t catch the name properly. I’m not dealing with any companies like that, so it seemed like a total scam to me. As soon as they started talking, I hung up. Complete warning sign there.
