I received a call from this number, and the woman claimed to be representing HMRC concerning some alleged unpaid taxes. It struck me as complete rubbish, so I inquired whether she might have the wrong person, as I’ve always kept my tax affairs in order. Rather than clarifying, she simply ended the call abruptly.

Somebody rang me off saying they were from Virgin Media, but I wasn’t convinced. Seemed a bit fishy, like one of those dodgy calls trying to scam you. Definitely didn’t sound right.

Some lady picked up and told me I’m being taken to court. I just hung up straight away, figured it was probably a scam.

I picked up and just said hi, then it suddenly dropped the call after about 7 seconds. Pretty irritating.
