I received a call from a bloke with a heavy Indian accent who introduced himself as "Alex" from Carphone Warehouse. He seemed keen on fishing for my personal details while trying to peddle new contracts. When I mentioned that my number was listed with the Telephone Preference Service, he acted completely clueless about it. After I threatened to report him, he began to mock me quite audibly. Definitely sounds like a scam artist, though he doesn't seem particularly competent at his craft!

Received a call at about half past nine this morning while I was in North London. The voice on the other end greeted me with what I can only describe as an utterly ridiculous accent. When I expressed my confusion, they went on to repeat the same greeting, still in that same over-the-top tone. I couldn't help but chuckle and decided to end the call. Thankfully, they didn’t attempt to ring me again.
