I got a call from someone claiming to be Carphone Warehouse, but it turned out to be a total scam.

Some bloke with an Indian accent called me, saying his name was Kevin Jaffery and he was ringing from Currys with a mobile deal. But when I rang Currys back, they said that number wasn’t theirs at all. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.

The caller began with a few words in what seemed to be an Indian dialect before eventually saying, "Hello, how are you today?". However, when I inquired about the origin of the call, they abruptly ended the conversation. Quite odd, really!

Answered in some Indian language after I asked who was calling in English. They said something like, "Hello, how are you today?" and then just ended the call.
