Seems like this might be a dodgy call. There was quite a delay after I answered, which suggests it could be an auto-dialler that transfers to a human once they notice someone picks up. They were attempting to sell me mobile deals, supposedly from Carphone Warehouse. Quite suspicious!

I received a call from this number, so I picked up and greeted them with a "Hello." To my surprise, they promptly disconnected! I tried to return the call, only to be met with a Spanish voicemail. Pretty certain this is a scam.

I’ve heard that this number might be linked to Carphone Warehouse, although I’ve never shared my number or any personal information with them, nor have I made a purchase.

It leads me to believe this is probably a ruse and quite possibly a scam.

I received a call from someone who said they were representing Carphone Warehouse. The chap got quite irate and ended the conversation abruptly when I mentioned I wasn’t in the market for a new phone.
