Received a call from someone saying they were with 02 and offering me a 40% discount on a new contract. Their English was pretty poor, and when I said no, they got really nasty and pushy. Ended up hanging up and blocking the number.

I told the guy I wasn’t interested in any discount since my parents already handled it. He goes, “I don’t wanna speak to your parents. You’re amazing, I love you.” Then he hung up right away and I blocked him. I’m almost 18 and this bloke is seriously bothering me, it’s so creepy.

This number has ring me a few times the past weeks. I never got a voicemail and when I tried calling back, no one picked up. I’ve decided to block it now.

Loud background noise like a busy call centre, the guy claimed he was from O2 and that I had a contract there. When I told him I wasn’t with them, he asked what network I actually use, said sorry and hung up. Bit annoying but at least I didn’t get the problems that some others seem to have experienced.

I received a call about my "Auto" account on the 16th of September and I blocked it straight away. They tried ringing once more, but all I got was a loud beep letting me know they called. So glad I have call blocking on!

Got a call from some people with strong accents claiming to be from o2 about upgrades, but their English was really hard to understand. They said I qualify for an existing customer upgrade and asked which network I use. They also said I could get unlimited everything for £7 a month. Problem is, I’m not even with o2. Then they passed me to a ‘supervisor’ with slightly better English but definitely a scam. When I called them out on it, the guy asked “How did you find out?” before hanging up on me.

Some bloke called saying he was from O2 with a promo code to give me. Thing is, I’m not even an O2 customer. I spent a good 10 minutes telling him off about scammers (needed to vent a bit) but he just kept saying he was legit and actually laughed at me! Told him to never call again and blocked the number. Honestly, shouting at him made me feel a bit better.

Really loud call centre background, they claimed to be from 02 and trying to sell me a new phone with 30% off - they actually sent me a code from a number I’d gotten a legit 02 message from before, so it sounded proper convincing! DO NOT ANSWER, JUST HANG UP!!

Got a call from someone saying they were from O2, telling me I could upgrade. I said I wasn’t interested and they got pretty pushy, insisting they didn’t need my bank info or anything. I just ended the call. Then, like half a minute later, they called back asking why I’d disconnected! I hung up once more. The caller was an Asian lady.

I missed their call and they never left any voicemail, but after reading what others mentioned, I’m relieved I didn’t answer.

Really pushy and kept going on, speaking so fast it was hard to catch what they said. They said if I didn’t give my info, I’d lose out on a 40% discount on my O2 phone deal. I’m not even with O2! I just hung up and blocked them straight away.

missed a call from this number, couldn’t pick up at that moment.

Its with o2 sadly, since they managed to get all my info and even put notes on the system that o2 staff can check. He also switched all my login info so now I can’t get into anything until the fraud team contacts me!!!

The guy's accent was really hard to understand, sounded Asian or something. Claimed he was calling from 02 to persuade me to switch my plan but didn’t seem to know what my current bill was. I just ended the call and blocked the number.

Total scam, be careful!

This woman with an Indian accent was practically yelling, and I'm serious, the background was full of loads of other telemarketers shouting too. She kept going on, "HELLO! I AM FROM O2! YOUR CONTRACT IS ABOUT TO END." I ended up saying, "Sorry, what?" then she repeated, "HELLO I AM FROM O2! YOUR CONTRACT IS ENDING." I couldn’t help but laugh and said, "Sorry love, but this is a VERIZON phone." Honestly, even if anyone got caught out by this call, they'd give up because of all the racket in the background. Just way too loud!

Got a call from this number too. Some bloke started rattling off in what I guessed was English but he spoke so quickly and slurred his words that I could barely understand a thing. All I caught was something about an iPhone 11 and Virgin Media, plus some £25 data plan. He clearly had no clue who I was, what phone I used, or which network I’m with. So yeah, just another dodgy scam call. I blocked the number and ended the call, and they tried ringing me back straight away, so heads up, they don’t give up easily.

Got a call earlier today from some bloke who claimed he was from 02 customer support. I told him I didn’t know what 02 was and couldn’t really make out what he was on about. Then he snapped at me, calling me daft and said I was just wasting my own time. Proper rude!

This morning I got a call from a bloke claiming to be from 02 customer service. I told him I had no clue what 02 was and couldn’t really follow what he was saying. Then he got really annoyed, started calling me stupid and said I was just wasting his time. Proper rude.

Completely rude caller, though I did find it a bit amusing that someone pretending to be from 02 customer service (and I'm not even with 02) got annoyed with me. I said I couldn't hear them properly and their response was that they had better things to do!!! ;-) Thank goodness it's Friday!

My dad just got a new Virgin Media sim and broadband, and they've already been getting phone calls about wifi problems. The caller even asked for personal info. How is it possible to get scam calls this quick on a brand new service?

Got a call from someone saying they were from Virgin Media (I actually work there). He couldn’t tell me my mobile details so I ended the call. Then checked with my mates at work, they said it wasn’t a legit VM call! Don’t pick up. Better to block it.

Got two calls from them yesterday and another two today. They said they were from Virgin offering a free upgrade. Then they asked which phone I had to 'verify' who I was. I told them Virgin never checks like that and I’m pretty sure they’re not legit. The bloke got annoyed and said he couldn’t do the upgrade anymore. Honestly, don’t miss them at all.

This was totally a scam call. They tried pushing me to upgrade my phone and sneakily wanted my bank info. They couldn't answer simple questions about my current plan or any proper details. The person on the line even switched from a woman’s voice to a man’s mid call. Background was loud and messy. They sweet-talk you with a ‘great deal’ and agree to anything just to get your info. Their way of speaking was really bad and unprofessional. The accent sounded Indian (no offence, just what I noticed).

Got a call claiming to be from Virgin Media, offering unlimited plan and a new iPhone for £15 a month. I told them I’d think about it but she kept on pushing really hard, which felt off. I hung up and looked up the number, turns out it’s a scam. Be careful with these calls!

Got a call from a woman with a strong Indian accent who woke me up, never said who she was tho, just kept mentioning the word ‘unlimited’ and something about my auto network? I was like, what auto? Otto? Can u spell it? She actually spelled network for me then asked if I even speak English. After reading other comments, I think she meant O2. She gave up eventually and I just blocked her.

Some bloke claiming to be from O2, but he definitely wasn’t. Tried to get me to upgrade my phone for £29.95, which at first seemed quite decent. I told him the most I could spare was £3 and a KitKat, or £2.50 plus a packet of Tangfastics. He wasn’t too happy with my offer and just hung up on me. Total scam, he even said he’d send an email from a proper 02 address, but he wasn’t willing to take my deal. Still, it gave me a good laugh!
