These lot are total scammers. They say they’re from O2 and offer some massive 30 or 40% off, but they really have no clue who you are or what your current bill is. What they do is take your number and put it into the O2 website to reset your account. When you get a code, they’ll say it’s part of the "discount" process. Don’t ever share that code with anyone. Their plan is to get into your account and order a phone on your behalf. Then comes the next trick - they’ll claim the phone was sent to your place by mistake and ask you to send it back, which is just them getting their hands on it. Be careful out there and keep safe!

Some bloke rang up saying he was with O2, but I haven’t been with them in more than two decades, so I knew it was dodgy. Told him to stop bothering me with calls.
