Received a rather dodgy call from someone claiming to be with O2. When I called them out on it being a scam, the bloke had the audacity to say he was my 'best mate.' Then, if that wasn't irritating enough, he rang me up again about an hour later!

Got a call from someone saying they were with O2, offering a big discount on my monthly fees, dropping them to £13 a month as a loyal customer. They didn’t say the original price though. I ended up hanging on for about 15 minutes just messing with them until they finally quit. Definitely don’t share any real info with these types, but if you’ve got time, messing with them might stop others from falling for it.

The first time, I decided to pick up, and a chap with quite a pronounced Indian accent claimed to be representing my mobile provider. However, I have no desire to engage with them, so I promptly hung up. The second time, I simply let it ring out, and true to form, they didn’t leave a message, which typically signals it's nothing of consequence. I've now made up my mind to block this number entirely.
