I got a call from someone claiming to be with the BT migration team, but they didn’t send me a 4-digit code on my phone straight away. Every time I’ve dealt with BT, they always ask for that two-step verification, so I got suspicious it was a scam. The bloke sounded a bit like a robot at first and even had this weird laugh all through the call. Honestly, by 2026 it’s hard to tell if calls like these are legit or just scams. Ever since I switched to full fibre about a year ago, the number of scam calls to my business has basically doubled!
