I received a call from someone claiming to be a tech guru associated with BT. Let me tell you, he was definitely attempting to pull a fast one on me!

Some bloke rang claiming he was from BT, telling me that no calls would come through from a number I’d already blocked like half an hour earlier. I asked if that meant his number too, and he seemed a bit rattled. I told him I knew Callblock was an automatic BT service and didn’t need any promises from him. Didn’t stick about after that to see what he was really after, probably just some dodgy scammer trying to get my info for some appliance insurance nonsense. The first time he tried, I wasn’t having any of it.

Got a call on my home phone while I was out, but they didn’t leave any voicemail. The number was totally unfamiliar, so I’ve gone ahead and blocked it and deleted the call.

Just got a call from this number and when I answered there was total silence. My guess is it might be some scammy outfit or a company using automated calls, sending them to loads of numbers at once and only talking to whoever picks up first. Bit annoying really.
