I'd say steer clear of picking up this number. I kept them going with some made-up details, but it felt like they were fishing for my personal info to maybe pull some ID theft.

Got a call earlier today from someone claiming to be from UK NOW. They asked me to confirm my address, but when I asked them what address they had, they couldn’t tell me. Then they started asking about the type of place I live in, like whether it’s private rented, council housing, or with family. I told them I was younger than I really am, and then they just said goodbye and hung up super fast. Quite odd really.

This person on the phone was clearly being dishonest. They said it was for some kind of research and promised not to ring back. But judging by the stuff they asked, I reckon they were fishing for info on vulnerable folks to take advantage of. I'd say just block them completely. I've already passed the details on to the Police fraud team to look into it.

I was trying to find out who was ringing me, but she only wanted to know my name. Then out of nowhere she told me to buzz off and cut me off. Proper rude lady, and she sounded foreign.
