I received a phone call at a quarter past two on the 1st of September, 2023, from someone claiming to represent a gas firm. She mentioned something about insurance for my boiler, electrical wiring, drainage issues, and a gas fire breakdown. She was quite insistent on obtaining my bank details, suggesting that her company could outdo my current provider’s rates.

Having fallen victim to scams in the past, I’m now quite savvy to such ruses. Once bitten, twice shy, as they say!
