They seemed to be familiar with my name and what I do for a living. However, their conversation was rather muddled, making it quite difficult for me to grasp what they were actually saying.

The caller wanted to talk to me and I said yes, it was me they were after. They then asked if I’m on a contract. I told them I’m actually a full-time employee. Next, they asked if I’ve ever done any contract work before, and I said no. After that, they said they’d take my info off their list and hung up. Seems like they might be targeting contractors confused about the IR35 tax rules, so I’d say this is just spam.

No message was left and there was no way to send an email or letter in response for my callback. If it's for real, they should have some contact option.

I got a call from someone wanting to speak to me. I asked who they were and what it was about, but they just kept saying they wanted to talk to me without giving any details. I didn’t say yes I was who they wanted, and then they just ended the call. Bit odd that they wouldn’t even say who they were - banks usually say upfront where they’re calling from.
