Got a call from someone saying they were with O2, trying to sell me a cheaper SIM only deal or an early upgrade. Didn’t even know my name when I asked!

I rang them back and got a message about a phone upgrade. The lady on the recording sounded like a white English woman but I couldn’t make out the network name properly. They then wanted me to wait for an agent, but I didn’t bother holding. I’m with EE and when they call, it always says EE loud and clear. They don’t do upgrade calls anymore, probably because of all the scammers out there doing the same thing. They only used to call when your contract was nearly up. Way too many dodgy calls like this now… good luck to anyone else getting these! (Seems everyone’s at it these days.)
