8 yearsI got a phone call from this number, and the lady started by asking me to verify my name and address, which she already knew. She claimed she was calling from a home care service and wanted to check if I wanted to be removed from their call list. I don’t remember ever dealing with them before, but I told her to take me off anyway.8 yearsthis bloke called claiming he was from bt and first asked me to verify my address, then my name. after that, he promised to remove me from their list and just cut the call.BT8 yearsGot a call a bit after 2.40pm today from a guy who sounded like he was from Africa. He said he was from the London post office and mentioned an international letter for me. He already knew my address and postcode, which was strange. When he asked me to confirm them, I told him to just stick a stamp on it and post it. Then he went, "Is that how you think it works?" and I just ended the call right there.London8 yearsThey wouldn’t tell me who they were and kept on trying to get my address, name, and postcode. I just refused to give any details.8 yearsThey called me up asking to confirm my name and postcode, then told me they’d remove me from their list! Same thing happened to me.8 yearsI got the exact same call and now I’m worried I might have agreed to something without realising it. Hopefully I haven’t bought anything I didn’t mean to!8 yearsSame here, the caller rushed off as soon as I confirmed my name. Honestly pretty worried now that I might've fallen for some kind of scam.8 yearsI think I might have just been caught out by a scam myself. I was working on my computer and wasn’t really paying full attention. The person on the phone asked if my name was x and if I lived at y, and without really thinking I said yes to both. Then the call ended abruptly. Afterwards, it clicked that I’d heard about scams where they record your yes answers and use them to trick you into agreeing to purchase stuff. I’d seriously advise anyone to be careful about saying yes over the phone.Submit Your Own Report (20401805733)
