This afternoon I got a missed call from 02039981628, supposedly a London number. I didn’t pick up but decided to Google it. No one’s really reported anything about it yet, but that doesn’t mean it’s safe. Scammers often snap up fresh numbers and start cold calling immediately to trick people. I did find a very similar number, just one digit off, with a bunch of complaints saying it just hangs up when you answer.
