Got a call from someone pretending to be HMRC, saying they'd freeze my national insurance number if I didn’t get in touch immediately. Total scam, obviously.

A few days back, I received a pre-recorded message from this number. The voice was downright robotic, claiming to be from a call centre affiliated with HMRC. I can confidently say that it's not the real HMRC or anyone associated with them; it's clearly just a daft scam.

Before I even caught the voicemail, I called back a missed number from some chap called Officer Steven White or something like that. When I rang, the person who picked up said it was HMRC. I had a chuckle and played it off on the lady who answered, but she didn’t seem too pleased about it at all!

Got a really annoying recorded message from a guy with an American accent, trying to sound official. He said he was calling from HMSO and asked me to ring back. Honestly, it felt like a total rip-off and I reckon many might get tricked by it. Definitely a scam, avoid it!

020 3997 6380 Totally a scam call - I asked the bloke his name and he said Officer Dibble, like some character from Top Cat or summat. Whenever I tried to get info out of him, he wasn’t happy and ended up cutting me off. Proper dodgy.

I found it kind of weird how people are calling out the accent as 'American' like it matters. You don’t hear anyone say ‘oh the caller had a British accent’ normally. But yeah, regardless of that, this call was definitely a scam.

Got a dodgy call from someone pretending to be Dennis Gray, a tax officer. They said if I didn’t ring them back, I’d be arrested. Don’t fall for it, just ignore and definitely don’t phone the number! Total scam.

Got an automated call from a woman saying she was officer Denis Gray from HM Revenue & Customs. She said it was urgent and that I had to call back straight away or get a solicitor involved, otherwise there’d be serious consequences. Definitely sounds like a scam, especially since it was from a Northern Ireland number.

Got a voicemail from this number, some automated voice spouting a ridiculous and kinda threatening message claiming to be "Officer Dennis Gray from HM Revenue and Customs". It said something like, if they don’t get a reply from you or your lawyer, there’d be consequences. Sounds laughable to me, but I guess it could fool those who are more gullible. Proper scumbags.

Got a call from an automated female voice, sounded American, pretty intimidating like I was already guilty and needed to call them or my lawyer or else I'd have some serious trouble. I tried ringing back earlier but got straight to voicemail. Then I got another voicemail from someone with an American accent, just a short message asking me to get back in touch.
