Received a rather peculiar call from this number on the 8th of July, just before nine in the morning. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to pick up, so I decided to ring them back. They were rather insistent that they were from HMRC and started asking for my solicitor's information. I made it clear that if there were any claims against me, I would have received official correspondence from HMRC. They then ominously stated that I could be facing arrest today! I had a conversation with these individuals, and let me tell you, they were downright unpleasant and quite menacing. It’s all a ruse - they’re pretending to represent HMRC, but it’s nothing but a scam. They even went as far as using a spoofed number that seemed legitimate. All the classic dodgy tactics!
