I stupidly picked up the phone and answered. Some bloke asked for my name, address, and postcode. Then suddenly the call just cut off. Looks like they got everything they wanted. I got a call from a number claiming to be solicitors saying I needed to ring them straight away or there'd be legal trouble by Thursday 21st 2021. The call was live but sounded like a robot talking. Not sure if it’s a scam because I actually do have a solicitor and I'm in the middle of changing my name. Maybe I should return the call just to be safe.

I got a call from a bloke calling himself Kevin Jones, claimed I owed over £3,400 in back taxes and was facing court because I didn’t reply to two letters. Seemed like he was with some debt collectors chasing for HMRC, but when I asked who he worked for, he suddenly said HMRO instead. Also, he got my name and address mixed up. Didn’t take any chances, reported him to HMRC and blocked the number.
