3 monthsI got a call from someone saying I was entitled to a refund for a dodgy PCP deal on my car. They knew my full name and even mentioned some “National Consumer Database,” which sounded dodgy, and when I questioned it, they quickly backtracked. There isn’t any official “National Consumer Database” in the UK, so I found that fishy straight off. They were pretty cagey about their company’s name and refused to give any details for their Data Protection Officer. Then when I asked to speak to their manager, they just kept dodging the question. By then, I realised it was all a load of rubbish and started messing about with them. Just for the record, I’ve never bought a car in my life, so this has to be some kind of scam or phishing.UK3 monthsGot three calls within just 25 minutes from this number. Didn’t pick up any cause I didn’t know who it was.3 monthsIn just four days, ive had to check this number 112 times! They called me but i ignored it, and then another call came from 0203 996 9777 about half an hour before that. Looks like im getting popular with the scammers lately!ive3 monthsThe call got filtered by my provider, but the person on the other end didn’t bother leaving a voicemail, which screams scam to me. The number looked really close to ones I’ve had before from other annoying scam callers. I’ve gone ahead and blocked it now.3 monthsI let it ring but didn’t pick up; my phone then asked to identify the caller, which made them hang up straight away. Got flagged as a possible scam on my end.3 monthsGot a call from someone saying they were from the Housing Repairs, but they just hung up straight away without a word. Total nuisance!Housing Repairs4 yearsGot a call from someone saying they were from EE with a deal to reduce my phone bill. I told them I prefer sorting this out in person at a store, but they insisted it had to be done online. When they asked for my info, I said I’m not comfortable sharing personal details on the phone. After that, I told them thanks but I’m not interested in any discounts and ended the call. Still not sure if it was legit or just some dodgy scam.EESubmit Your Own Report (020 3996 9778)
