Many suspect it’s a scam, especially as calls often happen on Bank Holidays or use dodgy tactics like voice consent traps. Some have reported long calls with pressure to divulge info, others find calls in foreign languages or with automatic messages claiming they can't take calls. Most people don’t answer or block the number, as it’s widely considered suspicious and unwanted by those contacted.

2 monthsThis number has been ringing me nearly every evening around 6.30 for the last week or so. It looks like a London landline, but after digging a bit, it seems they're using VoIP, so you can't really tell where they're calling from. I've heard a few people answering before, and the chat usually starts with some survey. Then they try to pry into your personal details after about 20 minutes. Feels like a total scam to me, so watch out! Initially, the calls came from 020 3996 3747, but today the number changed slightly - now it’s 020 3769 3015, still claiming to be London.London2 monthsOver the last few days, my elderly sister got calls from this number twice but just ignored ’em since she didn’t know who it was. Then she phoned me back, so I decided to ring the number myself. It went straight to some robotic message saying it was GBCC doing a survey! Felt a bit dodgy to me, especially as the message said they don’t answer calls and gave no real details. Seemed like a proper scam to me.GBCC2 monthsGot a call from this number on the 6th of May 2026. I didn't pick up since I had no clue who it was, so I reckon it might be a scam or some sort of spam.2 monthsGot a call on my phone from a number I didn’t know, so I just let it ring off. No voicemail or anything left behind. Could be a scam or some spam, I guess?2 monthsTotally a scam! Who in their right mind would try to do a survey on a Bank Holiday? They must think I’m daft. The moment they asked “how are you today?” it was obvious they were fishing for something. It’s usually about your private info, cash, or both. I didn’t share my name or anything, just told them I wasn’t interested and ended the call. Then promptly blocked the number.Bank Holiday2 monthsI reckon this might be a dodgy call or just one of those annoying telemarketers. Don’t know this number at all, so I just ignored it and went ahead to block it.3 monthsGot a call from an unknown number and didn’t pick up. After that, the calls came almost every day, even when I didn't pick up. In the end, I just blocked the number.3 monthsKeeps ringing with no voicemail left. I choose not to pick up cos I reckon it's a scam.5 monthsGot a call from someone claiming to do a survey, I think they mentioned the name "Peel". They kept asking if I could hear them properly. Felt dodgy to me, like some sort of scam. I reckon they wanted me to say yes so they could record my voice for who knows what.Peel5 monthsGot a call from some people asking what I thought about the world, sounded weird, then only after a while did they say it was supposed to be some sort of survey. I just ended the call and blocked the number straight away.6 monthsThis was definitely a scam call, the person on the other end kept pushing for my personal info and my views on different things happening around. He claimed to be from some company called Pew Surveys. I refused to share anything, but he kept at it for nearly 20 minutes, trying to convince me he was legit. What really made me suspicious was that he couldn’t explain how he got hold of my number, which I keep hidden and have also signed up with TPS to block these sorts of calls. Yet, these calls keep coming through regularly. Only caught the first thing they said, sounded like some sort of scam or maybe someone trying to sell something.
