This is the second time I've gotten a call like this one, but today it went straight to my voicemail (came from a US number: +1 20482396254). The message had an American voice saying something like, "This is Officer Monica Todd from Inland Revenue, time sensitive matter. The number to reach my department is 0203 992 8744, I'll say it again, 0203 992 8744. Do not ignore this message, call us back. If you or your solicitor doesn't get in touch, be prepared for legal action, goodbye." Total scam for sure, watch out folks!

I received a rather ominous voicemail supposedly from the tax office. It was quite unsettling, to say the least. They said something along the lines of, "As soon as you hear this, you must ring us back..." Very off-putting indeed!

Hey, could someone do me a solid? These scammers almost tricked my old mum into handing over cash. Since then, I’ve been ringing their number non-stop to eat up their time. Got a spam call from someone claiming to be Monika Tod at HMRC. She was going on about solicitors, saying it was urgent and I shouldn’t ignore it, asking me to ring back or face legal trouble. Funny thing is, I actually work with HMRC and solicitors regularly, and they never contact people like that. Clearly some dodgy scammer pretending to be official. Best thing to do is block the number and stay alert, these fake calls are a real danger.

About two days ago at 11:54, I got one of those blatant scams. It was pretty rubbishly done, really amateurish, but honestly, it was hilariously entertaining. If someone falls for such a childish trick, well, they’ve only got themselves to blame! It’s risky stuff but also oddly funny. Fingers crossed these scammers end up broke, racking up huge bills with phone companies without making a penny. Seriously, just ignore this pathetic scam and don’t engage with it under any circumstances.

I got a call from 02039928744 with someone pretending to be from HMRC trying to get me to pay £4900 for supposed unpaid taxes from 2015 to 2019. I asked them for the name of their solicitor, and then they started threatening me, saying a police officer would turn up at my house within two hours to arrest me, freeze my bank accounts, seize my passport, and add £15,000 for legal fees on top of it all. When I tried to speak or ask questions, they rudely told me not to interrupt - even HMRC wouldn’t be that rude!
