Watch out everyone, there's this HMRC scam from India going around! Totally dodgy, so be careful!

Got a couple of calls from someone with a US accent claiming to be from HMRC about some tax issue. They said I’m being hauled to the county courthouse or something. Definitely a scam!

total scam alert. got this automated message warning about legal action from my local county court if i didn’t return the call - absolute rubbish, don’t fall for it! just block these scammers straight away. proper county court notices in england & wales always come through the post or a court-appointed person delivers them, never some creepy recorded voice. plus, with how backed up the courts are right now, most cases aren’t even moving forward at all. steer clear of these dodgy calls!

I just got this recorded message with an American accent warning me about a “lawsuit” that supposedly would go to the “county court house” if I didn’t ring the number they gave. I ended the call straight away. If you’re trying to scam people, at least learn what courts we have around here!
