I received a call from someone claiming to represent HMRC, insisting that I owe the astonishing sum of £3,500.701. They alleged that my previous employer had failed to calculate my taxes correctly, which apparently resulted in this substantial amount owed. They wanted my name and national insurance number, but I stood my ground and refused to comply. I was absolutely taken aback by the entire ordeal!
