They already have my bank info and I've reported it to the coppers. Best to just mess with them, they’re nothing but scammers!

That’s the most rubbish threat I’ve ever heard. Honestly, if anyone actually gets tricked by that, they’ve only got themselves to blame!

Absolutely a HMRE scam, stay clear!

Got a voicemail from some automated American-sounding bloke from an office called HMRC, a Mr Dennis Grey, saying I had to ring back or get my solicitor involved straight away or else face "consequences". It was pretty scary at first, but after seeing what other folks have posted here, I’m glad I didn’t get fooled. Definitely a scam. For anyone else who gets these calls, check this site first like I did. Stay safe out there!

I got a call from some robotic voice with an American accent claiming to be “Dennis Grey’s office, HMRC,” warning me to call back straight away or else their lawyers would come after me. With the deadline for the 2019/20 tax returns coming up on 31st January, it’s scary to think how easily some more trusting people might panic and ring these nasty scammers back. Truly awful how they prey on folks like that.

They called me twice in less than a minute - total scam for sure. First red flag was when I phoned back, the ringing changed from the usual double beep to a single tone like an international call. Then a guy with an Indian accent said he was from HMRC, which instantly made me suspicious. Please, don’t hand over any details, it’s a con. I’m part of a group of scambaiters who try to catch these scammers before they trick older people or those not very tech-wise. Another thing, HMRC never uses a number starting with 0203, so watch out for that.

This number called me earlier, but when I answered it was just an answering machine. The message warned that if they didn’t get a response from me or my lawyer, I'd be in some kind of trouble. They claimed to be from HMRC or something like that.

They say there’s a debt settlement owing of about £3,986 and warn that if you don’t pay up, they’ll put a lien on your personal property. Feels like a total scam, to be honest.

Two weeks ago got calls from numbers like 02039911865 and 02038805908 using 0114700964 and 01147001561 - same old scam from HMRC! Some guy called Dennis Gray told me to ring back. Its getting so boring now. The so-called “thank you and goodbye” was just laughable, his accent clearly wasn’t from here and honestly sounded like a bad joke. Proper rubbish!

Got a call from someone claiming to be HMRC saying I owed a load of money in tax. They went on and on with some long spiel about all sorts of stuff, but I quickly told them I was hanging up and then blocked the number straight away.

Got a call from some American sounding automated lady who said her name was Denis. Left me a message alluding to some urgent problem with HMRC and warned me to deal with it quickly. Seemed like a pretty rough threat, bit dodgy if you ask me.

Got a call from what I think was an HMRC scam. It was some robotic voice threatening me, saying I’d get into trouble if I didn’t call back. Honestly, just hang up and block the number, no point dealing with that nonsense.

I got a call from someone pretending to be from HME, trying to scam me. They acted all official but something felt off. Glad I looked them up online before giving any info. Watch out, folks, these scammers really know how to sound convincing!
