someone rang me saying they were from hm customs but i hung up straight away. sounded dodgy so i reckon it’s one of those scam calls. better to just block the number and be safe.

Got a call from someone claiming I’d won the lottery, they already knew loads about me. Then they tried to get me to verify my bank account info, so I just ended the call.

My phone kept buzzing non stop, so I finally picked up. A very polite woman with what sounded like an Indian accent told me I’d won a prize related to the EuroMillions lottery. She even knew my birth date and address which was a bit worrying. Then she asked for my bank info - like which building society I use and my account numbers. I fibbed and said I didn’t have my card on me because I was at work. Still, she pushed hard, saying it was okay to just use online banking. That was my cue to hang up and block the number straight away!

Got a dodgy call from someone saying they were from Big Lotto. I’ve reported it to Action Fraud and the National Fraud Intelligence Bureau, and they’re looking into it now.
