I got a call from 020398897278, saying they were from Universal Appliance Survey. They started asking about my washing machine brand, what laptop I use, my broadband provider and even my address. It seemed alright at first, but then it followed a call where someone told me my wifi had been hacked and wanted me to open up a device so she could prove it. Bit dodgy if you ask me.

Someone called saying it was a survey, not a sales pitch, and started asking about my internet provider and if I owned a laptop, mobile or iPad. I answered since they said it wasn’t marketing. The voice sounded foreign too.
