Received a call the other day from someone purporting to be with the national call-blocking service based in Dorchester. The chap had quite an Asian accent. He mentioned that I’d lodged a complaint regarding nuisance calls from Amazon and various other dodgy operations. After I politely asked him to buzz off and ended the call, he rang back, accusing me of being impolite! I simply informed him that under data protection laws, I’d like my information wiped from their records. Subsequently, I blocked the number straight away.
