I received a call from +44 20 3989 5694, and an affable chap who called himself ‘John’ claimed he was associated with Carphone Warehouse. He was all about pitching an ‘unbelievable offer’ on the latest iPhone 12, asking for an upfront payment of £30 followed by £28 each month. When I mentioned I couldn’t splash out the £30 at this moment, he turned a bit defensive and even a tad condescending, inquiring about when I’d manage to have the £30. 😂 He’s indicated he'll ring me back later in the week, so we’ll see how that goes. 🙄
