Got a call from this number today at about half past one. It’s been ringing non-stop over the past few months! I ignored it and, as usual, there was no voicemail left. That matches what I found out when I looked it up. I’ve often been curious how these con artists manage to find both my phone number and my name, but I’m starting to think they might be grabbing the info from my internet connection while I’m on my computer. Oddly enough, these calls usually come later the same day I’ve used my laptop in the early hours - something I only do when I’m struggling to sleep.

I always steer clear of picking up calls from numbers I don't recognise. Instead, I let my voicemail handle it, and if they don’t bother to leave a message, I look up their number in my missed calls list and promptly block them! It’s a bit of a nuisance, really, as they often try their luck with a different number next time, but I keep repeating the process. It becomes somewhat of a ritual, yet at least I manage to enjoy some peace and quiet for a few days without pesky calls!

Had a call from someone claiming to be Adam Scott at Microsoft - total scam, probably from India. He tried to trick me by showing some command in the DOS prompt called ASSOC, saying the CLSID for zip folders was my computer’s unique ID. Thing is, that CLSID is identical on every Windows PC, so every time I gave him a different number, he got more and more worked up. After about 44 minutes of this nonsense, he snapped and started calling me names, saying I was lying and some awful insults. Proper dodgy call.

I frequently receive calls from this number, and being in our 80s, my wife and I prefer to enjoy a leisurely morning. Unfortunately, this pesky call tends to come in rather early, often before 8 o'clock, which rudely interrupts my slumber. Regrettably, my phone doesn't feature a blocking option for numbers. I picked up a call from this number around 8.30 in the morning and a woman claimed to be calling from Microsoft. I told her I don’t even own a computer, and she got really rude after that. They’ve rang me about four times over the past couple of weeks. Now, if I don’t know the number, I just let it ring out. Today alone, they tried me three times from different numbers, all of which I’ve blocked. Microsoft themselves said they don’t call customers, so watch out for these scammers.

Had a call from a woman with a thick Asian accent, claiming she was from Microsoft - honestly, this is like the 30th time I've had this kind of thing. When I bluntly told her she was nothing but a lying tosser, she snapped back telling me to "get lost." I barely managed to say something about her "true colours" before she cut me off. Frankly, I’ve run out of patience for these calls. Depending on how much time I’ve got, I switch up my approach - sometimes I act daft and play along, other times I just flip it and say, "Yes, this is Microsoft," myself.

On a couple of instances, I've received security alerts on my laptop, and shortly after, my landline lights up with a call supposedly from the Microsoft tech support. Really? They expect me to log in and share my bank details? Not a chance in the world! Oddly enough, it seems like nearly all the callers are from India, whether it’s about bank security, car mishaps, or even washing machine insurance. Quite the coincidence, don’t you think?

I got a call from a woman with an accent, claimed she was from Microsoft. When I told her I don't even own a laptop or a computer, she seemed really shocked! I just ended the call right away.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Microsoft, number was 02039893363. Didn’t trust it, so I just blocked and reported it straight away.

Some bloke said he was from Microsoft. Proper annoying, kept going on and on. When I just kept quiet, he rang again, not letting up. Threatened to block my computer if I didn’t turn it on and have a look at some security stuff. Total pain.

I got a phone call from this number, and the bloke said his name was Kevin. He claimed he was calling from Microsoft. I told him straight away he wasn’t, hoping that would be enough to make him hang up. But he kept going, saying he really was from Microsoft. I just told him again he wasn’t and then ended the call. Seemed like he was quite a stubborn one.

Claimed to be representing Microsoft, but clearly wasn’t. Just another lowlife trying to swindle my elderly mum and dad.

Got a call that was total rubbish, the person even went as far as threatening me and said they'd come to my house. Absolute nightmare.

Today, around 10.40 in the morning on Saturday, I got a call from this number. The caller knew my name but had a strange accent and introduced himself as James something, with a British-sounding name. He claimed to be from Microsoft and asked if I was the main user of the computer. I tried to pass him off to our IT Director, but apparently, said director wasn’t interested in talking to him. I told the guy the IT Director was busy, then ended the call. I've been getting calls like this once or twice daily. My husband joked, "I changed the battery in your mouse, so now I’m the IT Director!"

I received a call from someone claiming to represent Microsoft, insisting that my computer security had been compromised. When I mentioned that I work in IT and hadn’t noticed anything unusual, the caller became quite aggressive. After I hung up, he proceeded to ring me several times more. Quite the nuisance, if you ask me!

Got a scam call, but I must say this service is brilliant. I’d honestly be happy to pay like an extra quid on my BT bill if it meant they’d hire folk to track down and get rid of these nasty scammers messing with our phones.

I wouldn’t answer if I were you, total scam calls. Just hang up straight away and put the number on block. They keep ringing from different numbers too, so make sure you blok each one. Such a right pain they are!
