Haha, loads of folks are calling it a scam, but whats the scam exactly? If it is one, they’re pretty poor at it. Some people have way too much time to be moaning about this stuff. Honestly, it’s more like a page for grumpy old folks complaining all day lol.

There’s this place called Good Life Plus, right? They say you’ve bagged some free tickets but it’s really just a sneaky way to get you on a monthly plan. Quite annoying, if you ask me.

I wouldn’t really call it a scam exactly, but they do tell you that you’ve won something, like 100 free chances to enter another contest. Then they also offer you a 50% discount on a subscription. Seems like just a sneaky way to get people to sign up with them, nothing really free about it.

Took ages on the line waiting, then I just gave up and hung up. They’re welcome to whatever “prize” they were offering, not interested!

Just got this message from Good Life+: "Congrats! You’ve won something with Good Life+! Ring our winners line on 0203 988 6628 to find out your prize. Available Mon-Fri 9am-7pm & Sat 9am-5pm (not open on bank holidays)." Honestly, if it’s sounds like it’s too good to be true, it probably is. I usually ignore these kinds of texts completely.

Got a message saying I’d won something? Yeah, same here. It’s just one of those scams sent to loads of people hoping someone bites. Honestly, I never signed up for any contest, so it’s obvious a trick to sell you stuff. Total rubbish. Best just steer clear and don’t fall for it. Just another sneaky advertising stunt, nothing more.

Got a call from Good Life telling me I’d won something, number 02039886628. Rang them back loads of times but no one ever picked up. Spent almost half an hour trying to get through, just a total rip-off if you ask me.

A lot of folk reckon this is dodgy but they’re mistaken. This number belongs to a genuine firm, and you probably ended up on their list after joining a freebie competition online, like on Facebook or some advert. They’ll hit you up with a text saying you’ve won something because they gave you a bunch of free entries for a competition you picked. After that, they push you to pay for a monthly subscription to enter more prize draws. It’s all just clever marketing, not a scam. Just enjoy the free entries and don’t bother with the subscription if you’re not interested.

I received a text and an email simultaneously which made me think I might’ve actually joined some kind of competition before. Turns out, it wasn’t a grand prize notification but a message saying I’d bagged 100 free entries into another raffle, plus an offer to purchase a cheaper subscription. The guy who called me wasn’t at all aggressive about it and seemed quite decent. I’ve entered the tickets into a different draw and I’ll try and keep an eye on the results next time to see if I get lucky or if it’s just the same old story.

I came across a Facebook advert for something called Good Life+ but didn’t sign up or anything. The next day, out of nowhere, I get a text saying "Good Life+: Congratulations! Got a call saying I'd won 100 tickets, but then they hit me with a £14.99 a month membership fee. Ended up stuck on hold forever - wonder how much all that waiting cost me! Lesson definitely learned now.

I got a text and email from Good Life + claiming I'd won something, and they gave this number to ring to get it. They never said what the prize was though. When I called, an automated voice said I'd be put through to an agent, but I just sat there waiting for 8 minutes with some music playing before I gave up and hung up. After seeing other posts here, sounds like a typical scam. Best just to ignore and block.

Got a few messages from this number claiming I’d won something. Since I entered some contests not long ago, I decided to ring them back. Of course, it was just the same old recorded message, so I hung up. If it was a proper win, they’d have just called me directly... or so I reckon. 🤷‍♀️

Received a text saying I’d won some prize and it was from Good Life or something similar. Rang the number but no one picked up, left me hanging for about 15 minutes so I guess I’ll never find out what the prize was lol. Had a look at my phone bill afterwards and it didn’t cost me anything so no real damage done, just wasted time listening to some dull tunes. Seems like a sneaky way to get you locked into a subscription, if you ask me.

I rang the number since I entered a couple of their free contests. I apparently won 100 tickets for another raffle. Feels like a bit of a marketing gag though, as they tried to sell me a discount on their VIP membership. They didn’t ask for any extra info besides what I already gave when signing up.

You know, when something sounds way too perfect, it probably is. Like, why do they insist on having you ring back just to claim a prize? Seems like they never just tell you outright what you’ve won without dragging you into another contest!

Absolute scam alert! Never ever reply to random calls or emails out of the blue. If you get one, make sure you report it following the guidelines on the police's Action Fraud site for phishing. You can send details of dodgy calls by texting 7726. Any fishy texts should be sent to the same number, and scam emails can be forwarded to '[email protected]'. Also, that green-rated post down there doesn’t quite sit right with me.

Scam alert - these people are charging crazy amounts! I’m the one who mentioned earlier about ringing up and waiting ages on hold. Well, just got my bill and it’s absolutely mental - £15 for just 5 minutes stuck waiting! Seems like they jack up the cost and blast out emails to loads of people to rake in cash. I got an email claiming I’d won something from GoodLife+, which I actually signed up for, but it didn’t say what prize it was. I tried calling the number they gave, but after being on hold for like 5 minutes, I just gave up, not wanting to risk getting charged loads per minute. Since the email was so vague about the prize, I reckon it’s just some sneaky marketing trick to get people ringing in and maybe make a few quid. Still, I’m interested to hear if anyone else had a different experience - who knows, maybe I’ve just hit the jackpot without realising it, haha!

I had a similar experience to what others have said. I didn’t dial the number since I’m quite sure I never paid to join the Good Life Plus raffle, so there’s no way I’m in the running for any prizes. I reckon it’s just a bit of marketing nonsense. Still, I’m curious if anyone has actually managed to call them and can vouch that getting a call like this really means you’ve won something.
