On the morning of 17/03/21, my mobile showed a missed call from 02039876707. Then yesterday around 10:46, a bloke rang my landline from 01273655175 and greeted me by my last name. He claimed to be from Domestic Appliances and tried to tell me my washing machine's insurance was about to run out. I quickly told him I wasn’t interested in any insurance and politely ended the call. Judging by the reviews here, seems like the same lot just switching numbers. Oddly enough, my landline flagged the call as 'International' - how does that even work?

I was trying to renew the warranty on my washing machine for another couple of years since it was about to run out. But the guy on the phone couldn’t even tell me which brand my machine was! I ended up saying there’s no way I’d trust a company that can’t seem to keep their own info straight.

Got a call from someone who sounded like they might be from India, and they knew my name. They claimed to be calling on behalf of Currys offering a free two-year extension on my washing machine warranty. Bit odd since I actually bought my washing machine from John Lewis! They asked to confirm some account info before going ahead. Seemed a bit dodgy to me.

Got a call from a lady with an Indian accent who claimed she could extend my fridge-freezer warranty by another 2 years. I told her to post me the details, but I didn’t provide my address, so doubt I’ll get anything. If this was legit, surely they’d already have my address on file. Even if a letter shows up, I’m not trusting it - smells like a scam to me!

I had a rather unusual call from a lady with an Asian accent who introduced herself as ?? from Virgin Media. She asked how my day was, to which I responded that all was well. Then, out of the blue, she requested me to confirm if I was the account holder. I thought it best to turn the tables and told her that if she could tell me my name, I'd verify whether I was indeed the account holder. To my surprise, she promptly hung up. It certainly felt like a dodgy attempt at a scam!

Got a call from some Asian lady saying she was from ‘Home Adviser’ and something about a claim on my washing machine. I just hung up straight away - never heard of that company and I don’t have any claim, if I did I'd be sorting it through my real insurance lot. Total scam, probably some call centre. In the background, you could hear loads of voices and phones ringing, sounded like a proper shouting match at a market or something.

They called me pretending they were lowering the cost of my freezer cover and wanted my bank info. Felt a bit dodgy to me.

This was definitely a dodgy call about home appliances. I told the caller to take me off their list and stop ringing me, but as soon as I said that, they just ended the call.

Some lady called me using a name that sounds like mine but with that usual scammy twist. I asked her straight up who she was, and she said she was from Home Appliance talking about a warranty on something we just bought. We did get that item recently though, so it’s either a weird coincidence or something dodgy. When I asked her to confirm she wasn’t a scammer, she suddenly got really snappy and annoyed. She obviously didn’t like me questioning her and ended up hanging up out of frustration. Typical.

I've been getting calls about a so-called fridge insurance offer. Not quite sure what to make of it!

Received a call offering insurance for my fridge. I promptly informed them I wasn't interested in hearing from a dodgy outfit like that.

Someone rang up saying my fridge freezer cover had ended and tried to get me to renew it. I said that's not right, it’s still valid. Next thing, they just hung up on me. Totally feels like a scam to me.

This number kept ringing me at different times throughout the week. Every time I picked up, it went straight to voicemail and they just ended the call without saying anything. Quite odd, really.

TOTAL SCAM! Loads of times I've got calls from these people saying the warranty on my washing machine ran out. Don't trust em!

Some bloke rang up saying my cooker warranty was up, but I told him I ain’t got one. Then he switched to asking about my washing machine! Really confusing chat.

Got a call from this number a couple times today. When it switches to voicemail, the call just cuts off and goes dead.

Got a call about some kind of fridge or freezer warranty deal. Felt dodgy from the start, like a total rip-off.

I got a call from someone claiming to be with "Home Appliance Services" based in London, trying to get me to renew my washing machine warranty. The odd thing was the number showed up as an international one. When I asked them about where exactly they were calling from, the person on the line suddenly got quite defensive and upset. Very fishy if you ask me.
