I got a call from someone claiming to be with Carphone Warehouse, but they said they couldn’t actually check any of my details or offer me a new phone or contract, supposedly saving me 30-40% on my bills. What gave it away as a total scam was the thick Indian accent and the broken English. They said they had an English name, which seemed odd. Plus, the contract isn’t even in my name - my brother sorted it out for me. So why on earth would they be calling me about that contract? They might ring the number, but asking for me directly just doesn’t add up. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.
